ENDS OCTOBER 1ST GOOD LUCK :)
Most days we just spend by the pool and out in the sun, which is why I haven’t been updating as frequently as I did last year. Right now, I have an ear infection from enjoying the pooltoo much. I think we caught it in time for a speedy recovery though. But yea, Linda and I are just doing a whole lot of nothing. (Kind of the point of a vacation though, right?) Our beach day got cancelled today because we had to take a trip to the doctors because of my ear problems. Linda’s out by the pool and when I’m finished updating I might join her for a few hours.
It’s Friday and the weekend is here on the island. We were invited to some party tomorrow (a Chinese BBQ) but I’m not sure if I’m going to go. I might hang out with the “younger crowd” and do something fun. I’ve also been thinking about the possibility of a tattoo. Nothing big, just a little reminder of Bermuda, traveling and where my home will always be no matter where my life takes me. That’s what a boat anchor represents to me. But, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!!! (:
Good thing we have two weeks left on this paradise because there’s going to be no swimming or scuba diving for the next week for this girl. Well, I better join Linda out in the sun. I would hate to lose this tan after working so hard for it. *sarcasm* It’s a rough life, but somebody’s gotta do it!
The past few days have been full of sun. Our first full day here, we got groceries and spent the rest of the evening by the pool. Funny story about the groceries though. Since Heidi is always busy at work, Linda and I have to take the bus almost every where we go. And even though it wasn’t quite as hot here as it was at home, we were still sweating buckets. Anyway, Linda and I are sitting at the bus stop watching all these cars drive by, and I turn to her and say “As nice as everyone is, I wish someone would stop and say ‘Hey, you need a lift?’” No sooner than five minutes, a guy walks up behind us and recognized Linda as he drove by. It was Jose, a guy who works for Heidi’s dad at Pirate’s Cove (Heidi’s dad’s house). I’ve never been so excited to meet a stranger in my life. So that’s my exciting story about that. Also, that day we went to see the Glow worms. About 3 days after the full moon these worms come up to the surface and spin around and begin to glow. It’s their way of mating and after they do their thing, the male dies. It was definitely cool to see. Yesterday, Linda and I spent about two hours at Horseshoe Beach and then another 2 hours by the pool. I know, it’s rough, but somebody’s gotta do it. I’m willing to sacrifice myself. And yes, I did get A LOT of sun. I’m practically two shades darker than I was when I got off the airplane. Today, we’re going to Mid Ocean with Janice. It’s a private beach that Heidi’s friends belong to. So I’m going to lather on some sun screen and then wait for Janice to text me. Hugs and Kisses for everyone back home!!!
The title says it all. I’m wide awake and ready to go. Too bad my flight isn’t until 9 in the morning. I’m literally counting down the minutes. I’m extremely excited to get back to Bermuda. Last year was the best vacation I’ve ever been on and I’m sure that this year is going to top it. I’ve deemed Windows Down by Big Time Rush my theme song for this trip.
I spent the day doing laundry and packing and spent the evening with friends watching the fireworks. It was nice to have one last hoorah before leaving. I’m going to miss everyone so much. But that’s why I have this blog- to keep in touch. It just be the excitement or my sudden exhaustion, but I’m going to awkwardly end this post. Sooo… Bye. I’ll post in the morning!!! (5 AM is too early)
